Section 44406 - [Operative until 7/1/2024] Proof of credential, certificate, or permit(a) Before issuing a temporary certificate pursuant to Section 44405, a county board of education or city and county board of education shall obtain proof that the applicant has obtained a credential, certificate, or permit authorizing the performance of services in the public schools from the commission.(b) The conditions under which a temporary certificate issued pursuant to Section 44405 may or shall be revoked, issued, or denied, as applicable, shall be the same for nonpublic, nonsectarian schools as for schools operated by local educational agencies, as provided in Article 8 (commencing with Section 44330).Amended by Stats 2017 ch 199 (AB 681),s 5, eff. 1/1/2018.Added by Stats 2016 ch 127 (AB 1918),s 4, eff. 1/1/2017.
