Section 7673.1 - [Operative 1/1/2027] Storing of remains in a reckless manner(a)A cremated remains disposer who stores cremated, reduced, or hydrolyzed human remains in a reckless manner that results in either of the following is guilty of a public offense punishable by imprisonment in a county jail not exceeding one year or by a fine not to exceed five thousand dollars ($5,000), or by both that fine and imprisonment:(1)Loss of all or part of the human remains.(2)Inability to individually identify the human remains.(b)This section shall become operative on January 1, 2027.Ca.
