Section 6-15-2006 - Annual report(a)(1)(A) In addition to the requirements in § 6-15-2004(b), each school district board of directors shall annually report to the parent or guardian of each student the progress of the student toward achieving state expectations for proficiency in reading, writing, and mathematics.(B) The school district board of directors shall report to the parent, guardian, or the student if the student is eighteen (18) years of age or older, the student's results on each statewide assessment test.(C)(i) At least two (2) times per year, a public school district shall report in writing to the parent or legal guardian and each teacher of a student in kindergarten through grade eight (K-8) the independent reading level at which the student is reading.(ii) The Division of Elementary and Secondary Education may promulgate rules to implement this section.(2) The evaluation of each student's progress shall be based upon the student's classroom work, observations, tests, state assessments, and other relevant information.(3) Progress reporting shall be provided to the parent, guardian, or the student if the student is eighteen (18) years of age or older, in writing in a format adopted by the school district board of directors which is consistent with § 6-15-2101(b).(b)(1) A school district board of directors shall publish annually the school performance report required by § 6-15-2101 on its website not later than ten (10) days after it is posted on the division's website, with the option of also publishing it in the local newspaper.(2) The school performance report shall be easily identifiable on the website.(c) A printed copy of the school performance report under § 6-15-2101 shall be made available upon request.(d) This section shall apply to the extent that it is not in violation of applicable state or federal law.Amended by Act 2019, No. 757,§ 16, eff. 7/24/2019.Amended by Act 2019, No. 910,§ 1243, eff. 7/1/2019.Amended by Act 2017, No. 940,§ 1, eff. 8/1/2017.Amended by Act 2017, No. 936,§ 33, eff. 8/1/2017.Amended by Act 2017, No. 869,§ 3, eff. 8/1/2017.Amended by Act 2015, No. 1217,§ 16, eff. 7/22/2015.Acts 2003 (2nd Ex.
