Section 27-50-608 - Application for duplicate license after deposit unlawful(a) It shall be unlawful to make application for a duplicate license to operate a motor vehicle during the period when the original license is posted for an appearance in a court.(b) Any person convicted thereof may be punishable by imprisonment of not less than seven (7) days nor more than six (6) months and by a fine of not more than five hundred dollars ($500), or both such fine and imprisonment.Acts 1973, No. 246, § 3; A.S.A. 1947, § 75-1008.3.
