Section 25-16-515 - Accounting at expiration of term of appropriation(a) It shall be the duty of the Auditor of State at the expiration of the time for which each and every appropriation is made to report to the Treasurer of State the total amount of the warrants drawn on the appropriations during the term. If any balance remains unexpended of any appropriation for which no warrant has been drawn, the Treasurer of State shall balance the accounts and cover the balance into the State Treasury.(b) In no case shall the Auditor of State carry forward from one (1) term to another an unexpended balance of any appropriation after the time for which it was made has expired.Acts 1883, No. 17, §§ 1, 3, p. 15; C. & M.
