Section 23-12-802 - Trespassers boarding trains

Any person who boards any passenger, freight, or other railway train, whether moving or standing still, for any purpose and without good faith intending to become a passenger on the train and with no lawful business on the train and with intent to obtain a free ride on the train, however short the distance, without the consent of the person or persons in charge of the train is guilty of a violation. Upon conviction under this section, that person shall be punished by a fine of not less than one dollar ($1.00) nor more than ten dollars ($10.00). However, no person shall be so arrested except at the request of an agent or employee of the railroad company.
