Section 20-22-808 - Limited immunity of certified fire departments(a) Any certified fire department that does not have tort immunity as provided by state law shall be subject to limited liability as provided in this section.(b) Certified fire departments entitled to limited immunity under this section shall not be liable for damages to persons or property resulting from an act or omission of the fire department or the firefighter occurring at the scene of a reported fire and related to the suppression of the reported fire if the act or omission did not constitute gross negligence, wanton conduct, or intentional wrongdoing.
