Section 17-84-308 - Suspension, revocation, nonissuance, or nonrenewal(a) The Arkansas Board of Hearing Instrument Dispensers may suspend, revoke, or refuse to issue or renew the license or internship of any person for any of the following causes: (1) Being convicted of a crime listed under § 17-3-102;(2) Securing a license or internship under this chapter through fraud or deceit;(3) Unethical conduct, gross ignorance, or inefficiency in the conduct of his or her practice;(4) Using a false name or an alias in his or her practice;(5) Violation of any provision of this chapter; or(6) Failure to comply with any of the requirements for issuance of the license or internship.(b) In addition to acting against a license or internship or in lieu of acting against a license or internship, the board may fine the individual in an amount not to exceed two thousand dollars ($2,000) for each offense.(c) The board may dismiss any complaint or charges which it finds to be unfounded or trivial.
