Section 16-13-219 - Court expenses - Payment(a) The expenses accruing in the circuit courts shall be paid out of the county treasury in which each court is held in the same manner as other demands.(b)(1) These expenses shall include reasonable sums for the employment of secretaries by circuit judges and for reasonable office expenses and office supplies of the circuit judges.(2) In the event any circuit judge employs a secretary under the provisions of this section, the salary of each secretary shall be fixed by the quorum court of the county or counties involved.(c) In any case where a particular judicial district is comprised of more than one (1) county, the expenses shall be prorated among the counties comprising the district in such manner as the circuit judge may by order direct.Rev.
