Section 14-125-505 - Effect of referendum(a) The directors shall not have authority to enact the proposed ordinance into law unless at least three-fourths (3/4) of the votes cast in the referendum shall have been cast for approval of the proposed ordinance.(b) The approval of the proposed ordinance by three-fourths (3/4) of the votes cast in the referendum shall not be deemed to require the directors to enact the proposed ordinance into law.Acts 1937, No. 197, § 9; Pope's Dig., § 11841; A.S.A. 1947, § 9-910.
