Section 14-120-703 - Maintenance requirements(a) Whenever any levee or drainage district in the State of Arkansas shall have given assurances to the United States Army Corps of Engineers or other appropriate federal agency that the levee or drainage district will maintain any levee or drainage facility upon its completion by the federal government, then that levee or drainage district shall maintain the levee or drainage facility according to the terms of the assurance agreement entered into with the federal government.(b) It shall be the duty of the board of commissioners of all levee and drainage districts to take all appropriate action to maintain their levee and drainage facilities according to the assurances given to the federal government.Acts 1957, No. 72, § 1; A.S.A. 1947, § 21-833.
