Section 14-88-303 - Vacancies generally(a) A vacancy that occurs after a municipal board is organized shall be filled by the city or town council.(b) If a position on the board is vacant because of a resignation, death, removal under § 14-88-305, refusal to act, or negligence, a new member shall be appointed by the city or town council, if a petition under § 14-88-304(b)(1) is filed.Amended by Act 2017, No. 924,§ 2, eff. 8/1/2017.Acts 1881, No. 84, § 3, p. 161; 1909, No. 81, § 1, p. 224; C. & M.
