Section 49-207 - Discrimination prohibitedA. No person may intimidate, threaten, restrain, coerce, blacklist, terminate or in any manner discriminate against any person because that person has filed a complaint or instituted, or caused to be instituted, a proceeding under this chapter or has testified or is about to testify in such a proceeding or has exercised, on behalf of himself or others, any right or protection afforded by this chapter.B. A person who believes he has been discriminated against in violation of this section may, within one hundred eighty days after the violation, file a complaint with the attorney general. On receipt of the complaint, the attorney general may investigate as he deems appropriate. If, after investigation, the attorney general determines that this section has been violated, he may bring an action in superior court against any alleged violator.C. In an action brought under this section, the court has jurisdiction to restrain a violation and order any appropriate relief, including rehiring or reinstatement of a person, with back pay and double damages.
