Section 15-1203 - Placement; requirementsA. No child may be placed for the purpose of special education in an institution unless the institution has applied for and had issued a voucher pursuant to this article. Initial approval for placement shall be given when evaluation information, a copy of the individualized education program and placement documentation are provided to the special education section of the department of education. These documents shall be maintained by the school district or charter school and the receiving institution.B. A school district may make an interim placement of an eligible child in an institution pursuant to an interim individualized education program. For purposes of this subsection, "interim placement" means placement of a child in an institution for a period of time not to exceed sixty days for the purpose of completing an educational evaluation as required by section 15-766 and making a specific placement.C. No child who is a resident of an institution may be placed in a school special education program unless the school has applied for and had issued a special education institutional voucher pursuant to this article.
