Section 15-116 - Public schools; fees; waiver; prohibitionA. A school district governing board or charter school governing body that authorizes the assessment of fees pursuant to this title shall ensure that all fees contain a provision that allows the fees to be waived in the event of economic hardship to the pupil.B. The nonpayment of fees charged by a public school may not prevent a pupil from enrolling in, applying to or remaining enrolled in a public school.C. This section does not prohibit a school district or charter school from charging tuition to a nonresident pupil as permitted by this title.Added by L. 2014, ch. 226,s. 2, eff. 6/30/2014.
