Section 08.62.163 - Pilots as independent contractors(a) Pilots licensed under this chapter are independent contractors and may not be employed as an employee of the owner or operator of a vessel subject to this chapter.(b) The owner or operator of a vessel subject to this chapter may not employ a person licensed under this chapter as an employee.
