Section 03.05.077 - [For Repeal, See Note] Industrial hemp pilot program(a) The department or an institution of higher education in the state may create and administer an agricultural pilot program to study the growth, cultivation, or marketing of industrial hemp.(b) An institution of higher education in the state, the division of the department with responsibility for agriculture, or an individual registered under AS 03.05.076 may participate in an agricultural pilot program created under (a) of this section or engage in industrial hemp research.(c) The department may adopt regulations to implement this section.Repealed by SLA 2021, ch. 32,sec. 9, eff. only if U.S. Department of Agriculture approves an industrial hemp program plan submitted by the Department of Natural Resources under AS 03.05.076(i) before 1/1/2030, and takes effect on day after date on which revisor of statutes receives notice from commissioner of natural resources..Added by SLA 2018, ch. 5,sec. 4, eff. 4/13/2018.
