The respondent may file responsive pleadings as provided in the West Virginia Rules of Civil Procedure. An Answer shall be verified by the respondent. Any such pleadings shall be filed by the respondent with the Clerk of the Supreme Court of Appeals and the Office of Disciplinary Counsel not more than thirty days after service of the formal charges. For good cause shown, the Office of Disciplinary Counsel may extend the time for filing such pleadings.
