An appeal may be dismissed on the appellant's motion on terms agreed to by the parties or fixed by the Court.
(b) Dismissal for Want of Prosecution. The Supreme Court on its own motion may dismiss or otherwise dispose of any docketed case in which a party has not complied with a filing deadline provided by these rules. Those cases are also subject to imposition of a monetary penalty, or other sanction upon written notice.
