Rule 11-106 - Rule Distribution ProcessIntent:
To establish a procedure for the distribution of proposed or adopted rule changes and other communications from the Supreme Court.
Applicability:
This rule shall apply to the Supreme Court andthe Administrative Office of the Courts.
Statement of the Rule:
(1) Distribution list. At the direction ofthe Supreme Court, the Administrative Office of the Courts shall email noticeof the proposed or adopted rules, and an invitation for comment to thegovernor, the chairperson of the Judicial Rules Review Committee, the directorof the Office of Legislative Research and General Counsel, the Boards ofJudges, the Executive Director of the Commission on Criminal and JuvenileJustice, the chair of each of the Supreme Court advisory committees, theExecutive Director of the Utah State Bar, each active member of the Utah StateBar, each member of the Judiciary, the proponent of the rule change, and anyother person or agency identified by the Supreme Court as requiring notice. Thenotice shall include a summary of the proposed changes and identify the URLwhere the full text of proposed rules is available.(2) Publication. The proposed or adoptedrule and an invitation for comment shall be published in a law reporter.Utah. Sup. Ct. R. Prof. Prac. 11-106
