Rule 13 - Court-Appointed Law-Clerk Advocate Program

The Court-Appointed Law-Clerk Advocate Program shall be comprised of persons serving as law clerks to the justices of the Supreme Court or as members of the Supreme Court Law Clerk Department. Advocates under the program may, with the approval of the Supreme Court, and under the general supervision of an experienced member of the bar of this state, appear without compensation in the Family Court, upon appointment by a justice of that court, as guardians-ad-litem in (1) dependency, neglect, abuse, and termination of parental rights proceedings, (2) wayward and delinquency proceedings, and (3) proceedings conducted in accordance with G.L. 1956 § 23-4.7-6. Such law clerks need not be members of the bar of this state at the time of the law clerks' appointment.
