Rule 14.2C - GUARDIANS BOND(a) Except in special circumstances, the Court will not appoint an individual as a guardian of the estate of an incapacitated person without setting bond, as the Court in its discretion, deems appropriate. (Exceptions made for special circumstances may include situations where a corporate guardian cannot be secured or the only asset of the incapacitated person is a regular benefit payment such as pension, Social Security, Veterans' Administration, public assistance, railroad retirement payments.)Amended effective 3/1/2021; amended effective 1/1/2024.
