Rule 223 - Conduct Of The Trial(a)Time. The time to be occupied in examining a witness and addressing the jury may be regulated by the trial judge.(b) Number of Attorneys. The trial judge may limit the number of attorneys representing the same party or the same group of parties who may actively participate in the trial of the case or may examine or cross-examine a witness or witnesses, and also the number of witnesses whose testimony is similar or cumulative.
