Rule 530 - Duties And Powers Of A Bail AgencyA. Pursuant to Pa.R.Crim.P. 530, the Court designates the Office of Bail Administration and Pre-Trial Services as the bail agency.B. The bail agency, after investigating and concluding that a defendant is appropriate for release on bail, may present a motion to modify or reinstate bail. The bail agency may act on behalf of defendants who are incarcerated on bench warrants or who are unable to post the monetary amount of bail.C. If the issuing authority sets bail which includes supervision by the bail agency, the issuing authority shall require the defendant to complete the bail agency's supervision form.
