Rule 440 - Service Of Legal Papers Other Than Original Process. Notice(a) All notices shall be in writing.(b) Except as otherwise provided by Act of Assembly, rule or special order of court, whenever any process, paper or notice is required to be served upon a party, such service shall be made in accordance with the procedure set forth in Pa.R.C.P. 1027, unless service is to be made by publication, in which event service shall be made as provided by rule L233.Adopted Jan. 1, 1985, effective 4/1/1985.
