Rule 206.4(c) - Rule to Show Cause1. A rule to show cause must strictly comply with Pa.R.C.P. 206.4. As with all other pleadings, a petition for a rule to show cause must be filed with Prothonotary prior to being presented to the Court. Personal presentment is not required.2. A petition for a rule to show cause submitted to the Court by facsimile or other electronic submission will not be considered except in extraordinary or emergency situations. Any petition initially submitted by facsimile or other electronic transmission must be filed of record within two (2) business days thereafter.3. A proposed order of court in the form prescribed by Pa.R.C.P. 206.5 shall be attached to the petition for a rule to show cause.4. A proposed order of court in the form prescribed by Pa.R.C.P. 206.5shall not be used to schedule an argument on general motions, preliminary objections, or a hearing on petitions that do not comply with Pa.R.C.P. 206.4.Elk & Camp.
