(a) If the alleged disobedience constitutes failure to appear or to produce records at a hearing, an application for a bench warrant or to hold the person in contempt may be made upon oral motion in open court prior to the call of the case or upon commencement of the hearing.(b) Except as provided in section (a), proceedings shall be by way of petition and rule to show cause. The petition shall aver the terms of the order which the person is alleged to have disobeyed and the facts alleged to constitute the disobedience.Comment: The power of the court to exercise its contempt power sua sponte is unaffected by this Rule.
