Rule 8.006 - COORDINATION OF CASES(1) Neither counsel nor parties shall bring an action for custody or parenting time in any civil action without disclosing the existence and status of any other pending or closed case relating to those issues, whether the other case is a governmental action (such as a child support or juvenile matter), a probate action (such as a guardianship), or an out of state action.(2) Where more than one case filed in this Judicial District relates to the same parties, every attempt will be made to calendar all related cases before the same judge and, where appropriate, at the same time.Amended effective 2/1/2024.
