When an appellant files an answering brief on cross-appeal, that party may file the brief separately or as a separate part of a reply brief, if a reply brief is filed. The answering brief on cross-appeal shall follow the form of a respondent's answering brief. If filed as part of a reply brief, it shall be presented in a separate part of the reply brief and be shown in the index of the reply brief as "Answering Brief on Cross-Appeal." An answering brief on cross-appeal and a reply brief, whether filed as one brief or as separate briefs, shall be subject to the length limitations prescribed in ORAP 5.05.
