Rule 12.01 - Application of Rules(A) General (1) S.Ct.Prac.R. 12.01 through 12.10 apply only to actions, other than habeas corpus, within the original jurisdiction of the Supreme Court under Article IV, Section 2 of the Ohio Constitution. The following Revised Code chapters also are applicable: Mandamus, R.C. Chapter 2731; Quo Warranto, R.C. Chapter 2733.(2)(a) In all original actions filed in the Supreme Court, these rules shall govern the procedure and the form of documents filed in the actions. (b) The Ohio Rules of Civil Procedure shall supplement these rules unless clearly inapplicable. Where these rules conflict with the Ohio Rules of Civil Procedure, these rules shall control. (B) Habeas corpus Habeas corpus actions shall be brought and proceed in accordance with R.C. Chapter 2725.
