Rule 2.2 - Briefs
(A) No initial brief of appellant or cross-appellant and no answer brief of appellee or cross-appellee shall exceed 25 pages in length, exclusive of the cover page, table of contents, table of cases, statutes and other authorities cited, statement regarding oral argument, certificates of counsel, signature blocks, certificate of service, and appendices, if any, except by prior leave of the court. Application for leave to file a longer brief shall be by motion specifying the unusual circumstances which necessitate the filing of a brief that exceeds the limits imposed by this rule. Except upon prior leave of the court, no reply brief shall exceed 10 pages in length, exclusive of the cover page, table of contents, table of cases, statutes and other authorities cited, certificates of counsel, signature blocks, certificate of service, and appendices, if any. Reply briefs shall be restricted to matters in rebuttal of the answer brief.
(B) Any brief that fails to comply with this rule, App.R. 16, or App.R. 19 may be returned by the court for reformation. Appellant's failure to reform a non-complying brief may result in the appeal being dismissed by this court, sua sponte. Appellee's failure to reform a non-complying brief may result in the brief being stricken and determination of the appeal as provided in App.R. 18(C).
(C) No brief shall include photographs or digital images without prior court approval upon good cause shown.
