Rule 37 - Interest on Judgment(a) When the Court Affirms. Unless the law provides otherwise, if a judgment for money in a civil case is affirmed, whatever interest is allowed by law is payable from the date the judgment was entered in the district court. (b) When the Court Modifies or Reverses. If a judgment is modified or reversed with a direction that a judgment for money be entered in the district court, the mandate may contain instructions about the allowance of interest.
