Rule 83 - Duties of Board of Governors1. Until further order of the court or amendment of these rules, the board of governors shall be charged with the executive functions of the state bar and the enforcement of the provisions of Rules 49 to 204, inclusive. 2. Annually, the board of governors shall have prepared a statement showing the total amount of receipts and expenditures of the state bar for the 12 months preceding. The statement shall include a management representation letter from an accounting firm and a report from the state bar's accounting department reflecting additional detail in categories that have only broad classifications, and shall be promptly certified by the treasurer to the chief justice of the supreme court. 3. The board of governors shall conduct an annual meeting of the state bar at a time and place to be designated by the board, as provided in Rule 92.4. The board of governors shall develop internal audit controls consistent with guidelines set by the supreme court. 5. The board of governors shall adopt regulations governing travel and expenses paid for state bar officials and employees consistent with guidelines set by the supreme court. 6. The board of governors shall establish and adhere to a policy relating to purchases of supplies, equipment and services consistent with guidelines set by the supreme court.
