Rule 17 - Third-Party Providers of Conversion Services(a)Right to Contract. A court may contract with one or more third-party providers for conversion services in order to convert documents to an electronic format, provided that the conversion of a court record will be undertaken with sufficient quality control measures to ensure an accurate and reliable reproduction of the original. A public bid process should be used to award such contracts.(b)Provisions of Contract. Any contract between a court and a third-party provider for conversion services must acknowledge that the court is the owner of the original and converted documents and retains the exclusive right to control their use. A third-party provider must expressly agree in writing to safeguard any personal information in accordance with Nevada law.Nev. R. Elec. Fil'g. & Conv. 17
