Rule 7.06 - Powers of the Board of Governors

The Board of Governors shall be the representative body of The Missouri Bar, and a majority thereof shall constitute a quorum. Its determination of questions of method and of policy relating to the accomplishment of the purposes of The Missouri Bar shall be controlling, unless either at least ten members of the Board of Governors or ten per cent of the members of The Missouri Bar sign a petition requesting a referendum of the entire membership of The Missouri Bar and file same with the Executive Director or unless at a regular annual meeting of The Missouri Bar, by a majority vote of those present, a referendum be requested with respect to any such question of method or policy relating to the accomplishment of the purposes of The Missouri Bar. Such a referendum shall then be promptly conducted in the manner provided in Rule 7.07, and the majority vote of the membership voting in said referendum shall be controlling on the question presented therein.
