Rule 11-313 - TIME LIMIT ON RULING(a)Earliest Time A court shall not enter an order for guardianship of a child under this Chapter earlier than the later of (1) 30 days after the birth of the child, (2) expiration of the time for revocation of consent that has not been waived under Code, Family Law Article, § 5-321(c), or (3) expiration of the time to respond to a show cause order. (b)Latest Time A court shall rule on a petition for guardianship: (1) within 180 days after the petition is filed; and(2) within 45 days after the earlier of (A) receipt of all consents required under Code, Family Law Article, §§ 5-313 through 5-328, or (B) a trial on the merits.Md.
