Defendants in criminal cases must appear and be prepared for hearings or to stand trial on the day that their case is scheduled, as noticed on the Shawnee County Website unless excused by the court. Failure to appear whenever noticed to appear will result in the defendant's bond being forfeited and a warrant being issued for the arrest of defendant.
Notice on the Shawnee County District Court Website does not supersede any written notices of the Court. Written notice includes notice by mail, hand delivery, or by electronic means.
