Rule 47.12 - Court interpreter and translator compensation(1)Claims for compensation. After providing services in any legal proceeding or court-ordered program for which an interpreter or translator will be paid by a state or county office, the interpreter or translator must submit a claim for compensation to the court using a fee claim form approved by state court administration. Upon review and approval of the claim, the court will enter an order setting the maximum amount of compensation that may be paid to the interpreter or translator.(2)Policies for compensation of court interpreters and translators. State court administration will establish standard statewide fees and policies for compensation of court interpreters and translators who are paid by government entities. Government entities other than the courts that pay court interpreters and translators may adopt compensation policies that do not conflict with state court administration policies.Ct. Inte. & Tran.
