Rule 45 - Expedition of Court Business(a) Required Notice. The attorney for the petitioner shall advise the court promptly when a contested matter is settled or the need for a hearing no longer exists. An attorney who fails to give the court such prompt advice may be subject to such sanctions as the court deems appropriate. (b) Effect of Failure to Appear. The court may sanction any attorney who, without just cause, fails to appear at a hearing for which the attorney's client is the petitioner or an objecting party, or any attorney who unjustifiably fails to prepare for a presentation to the court necessitating a continuance.
