(a) These Rules govern the procedure in the Family Court of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia (hereinafter referred to as the Family Court) in all proceedings in which a child is alleged to be neglected and/or abused as defined by D.C. Code § 16-2301.(b) Except where inconsistent with the provisions of the rules governing neglect and abuse proceedings, the District of Columbia Family Court Act of 2001, the General Family Court Rules or the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect Act of 1977, Superior Court Rules of Civil Procedure 6, 11, 12 -I, 26 through 37, 44, 44-I, 45, 61, 63, 63-I, and 80 are deemed applicable to neglect and/or abuse proceedings.
