Rule 21.4 - Verdict Forms for Necessarily Included Offenses or Attempts(a)Generally. On request by any party and if supported by the evidence, the court must submit forms of verdicts to the jury for: (1) all offenses necessarily included in the offense charged;(2) an attempt to commit the offense charged if such an attempt is a crime; and(3) all offenses necessarily included in an attempt.(b)If No Form is Provided. If the court did not submit to the jury a form of verdict for an offense, the jury may not find the defendant guilty of that offense.Added August 31, 2017, effective 1/1/2018.
