Rule 3.2 - Preferences for Triala. Hardship Cases: Upon a proper showing of genuine hardship, any party may, by written motion, apply for a preference for trial.b. Setting for Trial: All cases entitled to a preference for trial by reason of statute, rule, or order of court shall be set for trial at the earliest practicable date.c. Motion to Set: All cases entitled to a preference for trial by reason of statute, rule or order of court shall state in the caption of the Motion to Set and Certificate of Readiness the following or similar notation: "Priority Case" (citing rule number or statute).d. Order of Preferences: The following cases shall be preferred for trial in the following order:(1) Any case granted a preference by statute, rule, or order of the court;(4) Domestic Relations cases;(5) Contested Probate cases;(6) Short Cause Civil cases.Adopted Aug. 30, 2017, effective 1/2/2018.
