Rule 5 - Authority of District Court Judges and Magistrate Judges(a)Emergency Situations. When a child is in a condition or surrounding dangerous to the welfare of the child which requires immediate action, and no superior court judge or authorized master is available, a district court judge or magistrate judge may take the least restrictive action necessary to protect the minor which a superior court judge is authorized by law to take. The district court judge or magistrate judge must immediately notify the superior court of the facts concerning the child and expeditiously transfer the case file to the superior court. (b)Review. A party may request a hearing before the superior court or master to review any action taken by a district court judge or magistrate judge under this rule.
