An invitation to bid will normally be published in one newspaper with a general circulation that is statewide. The advertisement will generally appear once a week for three consecutive weeks with a period of one week between the last advertisement and the bid opening.
At the discretion of the Department, a two week advertisement period may be used for small, relatively simple projects or when there is some urgency to place the project under contract.
