040-7 Wyo. Code R. § 7-3
Hunt areas and license types listed in this Section shall have special archery seasons during the dates specified in the table below. In order to hunt elk during a special archery season, archers shall possess an archery license in addition to a general elk license or a limited quota elk license valid for the hunt area in which the person is hunting. During the special archery season, all properly licensed hunters may archery hunt the entire hunt area or areas for which their respective license and type is valid unless otherwise specified in the table below.
Archers with a general elk license may only hunt in those hunt areas open to general license hunting as specified in Section 2 and may take any elk.
Archers with a limited quota Type 1, 2, 3 or 0 elk license may take any elk in the hunt area or areas for which their license is valid as specified in Section 2.
Archers with a limited quota Type 4, 5, 6, 7 or 8 elk license may only take antlerless or cow/calf elk in the hunt area or areas for which their license is valid as specified in Section 2.

Note: Type 9 elk licenses are valid for archery only and do not require a separate archery license.
