The two sample maps on pages 66 and 6 7, indicate the required information that must be shown in connection with exchanges of water. Exchanges are accomplished by application (page 83) or by petition to the State Engineer for exchange of already appropriated water (page 83). A detailed explanation of when an application is to be filed and when a petition is filed is found beginning on Page 88, Section 7 = Chapter IX. Please note that in addition to meeting all other general mapping requirements, a detailed explanation of how the exchange will operate is also placed on the map.
