(a) Employees exempt from overtime, who are required to work on an official State holiday, shall be granted paid time off at the rate of one and one-half hours off for each hour worked. Employees shall use any accumulated paid time off before being entitled to use any accrued vacation leave. As of January 1 of each year all unused paid time off shall be paid off at the employee's hourly compensation rate, unless otherwise approved by the Human Resources Division.
