Section LES 9.02 - Officers(1) The board shall elect a chairperson and a vice-chairperson. These officers shall be elected for terms of 12 months, and shall be eligible for re-election. The vice-chairperson shall act as chairperson in the absence of the chairperson. Voting shall be by secret ballot unless there is only one nomination for the office to be filled. To be elected, a candidate must receive a majority of the votes cast.(2) The act provides that the administrator of the division of law enforcement services of the department of justice shall be the non-voting secretary of the board.Wis.
