Section Trans 300.46 - Fuel tank and fuel system integrity(1) All fuel systems and tanks must be maintained free of leaks. The fuel tank shall be attached to the bus in a manner that prevents any movement of the tank while the bus is in motion.(2) All fuel lines shall be secured in a manner that will prevent wear.(3) The filler pipe or device shall be located so that the fuel, if spilled or overfilled, will not drip or drain on any part of the exhaust system.(4) Every fuel system shall be properly vented to prevent any accumulation of fumes.(5) The fuel systems and tanks shall meet FMVSS 301, fuel system integrity, and all other federal and state standards and regulations applicable for the type of fuel used at the time of manufacture.Wis.
