Section SPS 322.01 - Scope(1) This chapter applies to all one-and 2-family dwellings covered by this code that use any amount of non-renewable energy for heat generation. Note: Non-renewable energy sources used for heat distribution only will not require compliance with this chapter.
Note: Although the actual source of heat delivered by a heat pump is renewable, a dwelling using a heat pump is not exempt from the requirements of this chapter due to the required input of electricity to run the pump and compressor.
(2) The equipment efficiency standards in this chapter apply to all one- and 2-family dwellings covered by this code that use the respective equipment.(3)(a) The vapor retarder requirements under s. SPS 322.38 and the moisture control and ventilation requirements under s. SPS 322.39 apply to any dwelling with insulation installed, whether or not the insulation is required under this code.(b) The vapor retarder requirements under s.
